Who We Are
About East Gate Chapel
FGCK East Gate Chapel — Kibomet LCA is a Spirit-filled, Word-centred Full Gospel church located in Kibomet, Kitale, along the Kitale–Cherangany Road. God has grown us from a small prayer gathering into a vibrant community of believers passionate about worship, discipleship, and reaching the lost with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
We are a proud member of the Full Gospel Churches of Kenya (FGCK), affiliated with the World Assemblies of God Fellowship — a global movement of over 70 million Spirit-filled believers. Under the leadership of Rev. Adams Sabila and the Board of Elders, EGC remains committed to being a house of prayer, teaching, and transformation for Kitale and the nations.

God's Faithfulness
From a Prayer Room to a Movement
Every chapter of our story is a testimony of God's grace — from twelve people praying in Kibomet to a growing community impacting Kitale and beyond.
A Prayer in a Living Room
East Gate Chapel began as a mid-week prayer meeting led by a small, hungry group of believers in Kibomet, Kitale. Twelve people gathered, hungry for God, and the Holy Spirit fell powerfully. That small flame would ignite a fire that would never go out.

Registered, Planted, Established
After four years of faithful growth, East Gate Chapel was officially registered as a local church under the Full Gospel Churches of Kenya (FGCK) — Kibomet LCA. A permanent pastoral leadership was established under Rev. Adams Sabila.

A Home of Our Own
Through the faithful giving of members and partners, EGC acquired its first permanent premises in Kibomet, along the Kitale–Cherangany Road. The building was dedicated on Easter Sunday with over 400 in attendance — 100 metres from what is now Sindeet Market.

Building the Next Generation
The Children's Ministry and Youth Ministry were formally launched as full departments. Sunday School grew to serve over 120 children, and the youth group — Fire Generation — became one of the most vibrant in the FGCK Kitale region.

Through the Storm
When COVID-19 closed physical gatherings, EGC pivoted to online services and prayer chains, keeping the congregation connected through the crisis. Mid-week prayer and cell groups continued via calls and WhatsApp. God proved faithful.
